§ 34-131. Discharges into rivers unlawful.

  • It is unlawful to discharge or deposit or cause or suffer to be discharged or deposited any sewage; garbage; feculent matter; offal; refuse; filth; or any animal, mineral or vegetable matter or substance offensive, injurious or dangerous to health in the Sacramento River or the American River or any of the feeders or tributaries of either of the rivers, at any point or place above the city or to discharge or deposit or cause or suffer to be discharged or deposited any such offensive, injurious or dangerous matter or substance upon the land or places adjoining such waters as to cause or suffer such matter or substance to flow or to be emptied or drained into such waters.
