There is hereby adopted by the City of Citrus Heights for the purpose of prescribing
regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion,
that certain code known as the 2016 California Building Standards Code, Title 24,
California Code of Regulations, Part 9 (California Fire Code), incorporating the International
Fire Code, 2015 Edition, with errata, published by the International Code Council
including Chapter 1 and Sections 305, 306, 307, 308.1.4, 308.1.6.3, 309, 503, 510.3, save and except
such portions as hereinafter deleted, modified or amended. Not less than one (1) copy
of such code has been and now is filed with the clerk of the City of Citrus Heights.
From the effective date of the ordinance from which this article is derived, the provisions
thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the City of Citrus Heights except
that any inconsistent regulations and ordinances adopted pursuant to applicable law
by a fire protection district or a community service district having a fire department
within the city shall be controlling within that district's jurisdictional areas.
