§ 8-1. Division of Animal Services.

There is established a Division of Animal Services in the City of Citrus Heights. The Division of Animal Services shall be the division within the City primarily responsible for the implementation and enforcement of this Chapter. The Animal Services Division shall be under the direction of the General Services Director or the General Services Director's designee.

Any reference in this or any other City ordinance to "Animal Control," "Animal Control Division" or "Department of Animal Control" or "Department of Animal Control and Regulation" shall be considered a reference to the "Animal Services Division." Any reference in this or any other City ordinance to "Chief of Animal Services" or "Director of Animal Control" shall be considered a reference to the "General Services Director."
