§ 8-182. Relief.

  • If, after a period of two years from the date of the determination of the Hearing Officer that the animal is vicious, it can be demonstrated that the owner has complied with the order of the Hearing Officer and that no further cause exists for the order to stay in force, the owner may apply to the Hearing Officer in writing, for relief from the conditions for keeping or the provisions for special registration of the animal. Upon investigation by the Chief of Animal Services and concurrence by the Hearing Officer, relief may be granted and the owner so notified in writing or a hearing may be conducted to determine if cause for relief exists.
