§ 90-36. Franchise areas.

The initial CATV franchise shall permit the operation of the cable television system throughout the geographic area of the entire Sacramento Community pursuant to the provisions of this article as the franchise area.

The franchise area for any franchise subsequently issued under the provisions of this article shall be defined by the board of directors of the cable television commission.

No franchisee shall be authorized by the provisions of this article to construct, install or operate a cable television system outside its designated franchise area.

Installation and extensions of and additions to cable television systems and service is mandated within franchise areas pursuant to the terms, conditions and requirements set forth in subdivision II of division 4.
