§ 94-42. Authority of flagpersons to direct traffic.

A person designated as a flagperson by a contractor working on the city streets under a permit issued by the city or a city employee designated as a flagperson by the director, during construction or repair of, or in, streets, may direct traffic by use of hand signals or warning flags if the operation of special highway construction equipment, trucks, concrete mixers, mobile cranes or other construction equipment might interfere with the safe movement of traffic.
